ONION LAKE GAS COOPERATIVE IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING SAFE, RELIABLE & AFFORDABLE NATURAL GAS SERVICES TO ALL OF ONION LAKE CREE NATIONS RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES.

In 1996 an historic agreement was signed between Indian Oil and Gas and the Onion Lake Cree Nation to create the Onion Lake Gas Cooperative – the first natural gas company in Saskatchewan owned and operated by a First Nations group.

Onion Lake Gas Coop is responsible for installing and maintaining underground natural gas lines, meters and the RMO dehydration unit, as well as the distribution of natural gas to the community to heat homes, businesses and schools.

We are a member of the Federation of Alberta Gas Coops and follow all guidelines and procedures provided by this organization to ensure the safe delivery of natural gas. Onion Lake Gas Coop currently distributes natural gas to 750 customers within the community and our goal is to continue to add to this customer base as Onion Lake Cree Nation grows.
