Services and Facilities

With a reported population nearing 4000, Onion Lake Cree Nation has developed an ongoing services improvement and expansion program. Designed by the executive council, this program encompasses the various services which sustain and enrich the community in all facets of day to day life. Onion Lake Cree Nation has 4 separate Educational Facilities, a modern and fully equipped Health Center, and many growing industries and services. These facilities provide employment for both Onion Lake residents and non-residents. There are indoor and outdoor sporting facilities that offer year round events and activities.

Onion Lake Cree Nations is particularly proud to own and operate their Memorial Communiplex. The Band owned and operated communiplex is home to the Onion Lake Winterhawks Junior B Hockey Team.
